Renting a Yacht
To align with our endless travel and resort theme, here is our first travel-themed post! Whether you are planning a summer vacation, milestone birthday or anniversary date, renting a yacht is a luxurious way to see another side of your destination. Rent by day, the week—or by the month for those special trips!
One of the nice things about being on the open water is that you don’t have to sit in traffic or compete with crowds during your vacation. Another benefit: If you watch the weather forecast in advance you can navigate your trip to stay in the sunshine the entire time!
Having grown up in Florida, I am familiar with the amenities the various coastal cities offer. Here are a few options when searching for luxury boat rentals:
Miami. Novice captains might not realize that renting a yacht in Florida means the Bahamas are a convenient port option – especially from this city! Intimidated by renting and managing a yacht? Some services offer a full staff including a captain and chef. Alternatively, you could still enjoy the water with a simple dinner cruise. Y Charter in Miami offers flexible rental timeframes, a variety of vessels, plus professional crews. Whether you want to enjoy the various islands in Biscayne Bay, or stretch your sea legs over to the Bahamas—this port offers both options.
Florida Keys. Key West and surrounding islands are also a convenient distance from the Bahamas. Just about any boat trip off the coast of The Sunshine State offers fantastic fishing, but Key West is famous for some of the best sport fishing on earth. The 125-mile stretch of islands located near the Gulf Stream is not only postcard perfect, but an ideal fishing environment. Cruzan Yacht Charters offers opportunities for anglers and non-anglers alike: Luxury yachts, party yachts, sailboats—something for everyone.
Naples, Ten Thousand Islands, Marco Island. Naples Bay Resort Boat Rental provides smaller scale boat options with bow riders all the way down to Stand Up Paddleboards and kayaks. The nice thing about these rentals is that you can treat yourself to time on the waves while being close to different ports that offer a variety of beaches and marine life close to the shopping and stellar restaurants in Naples. Mangroves and stunning nature scenes are found in the Ten Thousand Islands, a part of the National Park Service. Dock nearby and explore the boardwalks throughout the park.
