Asher Marie Collection Presented at LA Swim Week in July
LA Swim Week is a fashion event presenting luxury brands and promoting innovative styles. Domestic and international fashion designers showcased modern styles on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at The London Hotel in West Hollywood, California. From comfortable and luxurious travel pieces, to swimwear and lingerie, this was the West Coast fashion event dedicated exclusively to resort wear!
Asher Marie Collection is, of course, over the moon to have presented among other elite fashion designers. As it is our first year in production, it is an honor to be in the company of many established and successful leaders in world style.
Not only did Asher Marie Collection present our summer pieces, we also revealed never-before-seen styles. We are developing several athleisure pieces that focus on comfort and versatility, fitting the busy professional and travel lifestyle our client base is accustomed to. These pieces transition well from casual corporate luncheons to entertaining on a yacht. We also revealed a few mini-skirt design ideas for the summer that could easily pair well with leggings in early fall. Our latest as-yet-to-be-released designs were presented alongside Asher Marie Collection’s signature tunics, dresses, and travel pants.
The outpouring of press we received has been quite a joy to watch unfold. Several publications picked featured runway shots of Asher Marie pieces, and we were also featured in a short fashion video. Asher Marie was featured in Access Runway, The Los Angeles Post, California Apparel News, and Naluda Magazine, just to name a few!
I can empathize if you are living vicariously through the videos and photos of the fashion show. Unfortunately, I was not able to be there for Asher Marie’s inaugural formal runway event. Fortunately, I am growing a human. I love being a mom just as much as I love fashion! Preparing for another baby is exciting, but for me it is also an unpleasant time health-wise. I have been struggling through hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition that basically induces morning sickness 24/7. I was sad I was not well enough to travel across the country, but I am very happy that our West Coast Account Manager, Sharice (aka #girlboss) represented the collection brilliantly in my absence.
